Ondo govt, workers reach agreement on N30,000 minimum wage


The Ondo Government and Labour Unions in the state have just signed an agreement on the N30,000 minimum wage template for workers in the state.

The agreement was signed at the office of the state head of Service, Mr Dare Aragbaye after weeks of deliberations.
The State Chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress NLC, Sunday Adeleye said all interests were protected before reaching the agreement.
While commending the state government for its prompt action, the NLC chairman said workers in the state are delighted.
The payment of the new minimum wage takes effect from January as workers will be paid by month end.
